Improving hunting performance. Hunting is where it all started over a hundred years ago and this is still the main focus for Buck. We are constantly making refinements that improve the performance of our knives and crafting new designs that allow hunters to improve performance of field dressing and skinning.

Lightweight, sturdy and effective. This skinning knife can be carried alone or used to compliment any hunting knife. The skeletal steel frame is heavy-duty, yet lightweight for easy carry. You won't even know it's there. The 420HC stainless steel blade ensures durability and corrosion resistance, while the minimalist design is effective and reliable while in use.

I've had manny knives in the past and this one is by far my favorite. I just love how slim it is and how it's light. Excellent buy, holds value.

I just bought the Buck paklite with black coated blade model #143 from my local walmart in marietta ohio. The 143 paklite is made by Buck for walmart to sell. I have carried it and it is very nice knife to carry for squirrl or deer hunting. I will also carry my diamondback buck 472 with gut hook and my 673 maxlite when hunting seasons begins in sept during squirrl season and even will carry them for deer and turkey season also. Buck knives are #1 in my book and are really easy to re sharpen and are well known for holding a famous edge.

I bought one of these knives a couple of months ago and finally got to use it last Saturday. Before I took it to the field for the first time, I ran a diamond dusted sharpener over it a few times, to smooth out one or two rough spots. I used it to skin a whitetail deer. After skinning the entire deer and removing all the meat from the bones, the blade felt like it did before I started! I just now let my son-in-law check it out, and before I told him that I used it to skin my deer, he thought it was brand new! This knife really holds an edge! An excellent knife for the low price!
